Swimming Programs

The SwimRight® Method has eight levels of learning. Each level has a fun name incorporated so that each child belongs to their very own level in the academy. Whether a Splasher, a Floater, a Kicker, a Roller, a Streamliner, a Freestyler, a Glider, or a Flyer, each child in the swim school will collect along the way a color-coded swim cap to help inspire them to move up to the next level.

This type of lesson is necessary for infants and students who are not water safe and require more attention. It is also recommended for older students with extreme anxiety or behavior that is not conducive to group lessons. Once the anxiety or behavior is overcome, the older student can fit happily into a group lesson.

This type of class is good for children who are in the Floaters level or above that can follow directions and work effectively in a group setting. For most students, this is the ideal lesson structure. We make every attempt to group students of comparable ability, maturity, and compatibility together to ensure every swim class is fun and productive. Available for children 4 years old and older.

The Parent-Tot program is for children under 2 years old. This class helps to establish comfort in the water and is a great bonding time for parents and their children. In this class, the instructor will teach the parents how to correctly hold their child in the water, the correct way to take them underwater, and the importance of the back float. Our technique is taught using songs and games that introduce what the child will be learning later in private lessons.

This class is for parents that are ready to push their child in the progression of the SwimRight® Method, focusing on the skills in the second level of our program. It is designed to allow the child to swim more independently while their parent is still in the water with them.

These classes provide a transition between swim lessons with an instructor in the water and pre-swim team orientation where the coach is on deck. Swimmers that graduate from this curriculum will be able to properly swim all four strokes and execute both starts and turns used in competitive swimming.

Pre-Team provides swimmers who have graduated from all eight levels in the SwimRight® Method with the tools necessary to join a swim team. With a focus on endurance and more detailed, competitive elements, the Pre-Team program ensures that swimmers are ready for the next step in swimming.
